Twenty of us gathered in the cozy front room of the Silver Spring House to catch up after these very cold days. As always, the food was delicious and the conversation lively. Look for more fun Condo events being planned for the spring. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our annual Somerset Condo Holiday Party was held on Tuesday December 9 at Maggiano's Little Italy in Kenwood. About 40 residents gathered to celebrate the season together. The restaurant looked lovely with garland, white lights and red bows everywhere! As always, the food was delicious and we enjoyed connecting with old friends and meeting new ones.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On Wednesday October 29th 15 people gathered at the Club House for CPR and AED training. The two hour class was taught by Mike Kramer, a Firefighter and Paramedic from the Sycamore Township Fire and Rescue. He is a fabulous teacher and made a difficult subject intense but fun. Each participant will receive a CPR Training Certificate.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

About 26 of us gathered at the Club House and tried to cheer the Bengals to victory. The outcome of the game wasn't what we had hoped for, but we had fun together and enjoyed snacks, Skyline Chili and some sweet treats for dessert.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

23 ladies gathered at Taglio's in Montgomery on a beautiful summer afternoon. We enjoyed good conversation and fabulous food. We met new people and had some fun! The group is looking forward to planning more luncheons in the future.

On a very steamy summer evening, 22 of us gathered in the air conditioned comfort of the Club House to enjoy a few laughs and a variety of delicious food. We all brought a dish to share and whatever you wanted to drink. Wednesday Evening, 2/19/25 found over 2 dozen Somerset Condo Residents meeting, sharing incredible food and drink!  It was a great way to get out of the house on a chilly winter evening for a couple of hours visiting with neighbors and sharing some very tasty sharable dishes!  Thank you to everyone one who attended. Your creative dishes made the evening so much fun!

The Somerset Condo Community kicked off the holiday season with a festive dinner at Ferrari's Little Italy in Madeira on December 3. We enjoyed the cozy setting and good conversation with our neighbors. Here are some photos from our evening together.

“Hooded” is something of an understatement for this extravagantly crested little duck. Adult males are a sight to behold, with sharp black-and-white patterns set off by chestnut flanks. Females get their own distinctive elegance from their cinnamon crest. Hooded Mergansers are fairly common on small ponds and rivers, where they dive for fish, crayfish, and other food, seizing it in their thin, serrated bills. They nest in tree cavities; the ducklings depart with a bold leap to the forest floor when only one day old.

 

 

A big thank you to Jan & Jack Slusher for hosting the June Somerset Dinner Club Barbecue.  The event was 6/12/2024 at the Bishop’s Gate Clubhouse.  Fifty-one condo residents met for an evening of great food, fun and socializing!   The food provided by Pickles and Bones of Milford was delicious!  We were all having so much fun we forgot to take photos! Keep an eye on the website and your email inbox for upcoming events!  

On Tuesday, April 16, 2024 - 24 residents gathered at the Montgomery Inn in Montgomery OH for good food, good service and GREAT fellowship.  A big THANK YOU to Linda Pritchard who organized a very nice event.   Hope to see you at the next event, a barbecue scheduled for June 12 at the Clubhouse and hosted by Jan & Jack Slusher.

We have recently uploaded to the website the Ohio Division of Wildlife - HUMAN - GOOSE CONFLICT - Policy.  It outlines the Ohio Policy on how Geese are to be treated by humans.   Check it out under Useful Infomation.   This was provided to the Communications Committee by the COA Board and Brian Burgett.

The COA Annual Meeting was held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at the Bishop's Gate Clubhouse.  The meeting was well attended with reports provided by the Board, Financial Committee, Landscape Committee and Communications Committee.   Elections were held and Board Members - Mark Macke, Don Haffner and Jack Graham were re-elected.  There will be a $5 increase in dues all going to the Reserve Fund.  The minutes are available in the Documents section of the website.   The Board thanks you for your attendance and interest in the community.
