Community social events are a secret ingredient for creating a healthy, vibrant neighborhood...and Somerset Condo's Social Committee is focused on enhancing and developing a true sense of community! It might seem old-school but chatting over food and drinks strengthens relationships in as little as a few hours!!
Covid-19 slowed us down but we are finally ready to take socializing to the next level by creating new and exciting events, plus bringing back some of our favorites from the past.
Long standing, our community hosts a Book Club and a Quilter's Club, who meet monthly in the Clubhouse. Be sure to check the Somerset monthly calendar for date and time.
Over the years, we've enjoyed many memorable events that include summer pool parties, fall BBQ events, plus Valentine's and St. Patrick's Day celebrations...and of course, we all look forward to the annual Holiday Party in early December.
During Covid, food trucks became our way of gathering safely and are still a popular request. In the spring you might see a gourmet hot dog or funnel cake truck...and Graeter's ice cream truck has been known to come by and park in our neighborhood...or on a random weekday morning, you may hear that there are free donuts and coffee being served at the Clubhouse. There's no charge for most events but occasionally there may be a nominal fee. Mark your calendars when these special events are announced...you don't want to miss an opportunity to meet and socialize with friends and neighbors.
Your social committee is working hard to reignite the historically popular monthly Dinner Club. The committee chooses and arranges dinner or maybe lunch at a favorite restaurant just for Somerset Condo residents. These neighborhood outings are Dutch treat and always offer limited seating...so respond quickly!
We look forward to meeting and seeing you at the next event!!
